{ Vitamin B is the German idiomatic expression for ones social network }

Our modern lifestyles have become increasingly disconnected and impersonal. The more globalised and efficient the world becomes, the more solitary our lives tend to be. It is no surprise we desperately seek social connected-ness to fill the voids in our day-to-day lives, we ‘invite a friend’, ‘create a profile’ and sign up as a member. Our social interactions are becoming ever more virtual and with the advent of the MP3 player and the smart-phone even film and music have been made a solitary experience.

Wine is more likely than most products to be a shared experience, consumed in a social setting, the subject of conversation, emotion and perhaps introspection. A bottle of wine begs to be shared. This is what makes wine especially appealing to so many people today.

What then is the definition of a good wine? What is the definition of a great wine? The wines that one remembers are not necessarily the most expensive, but those enjoyed with good food and good friends.

Vitamin B is the social glue that connects us, just add friends!
